The wife of the Executive Chairman of Jos East Local Government Council, Mrs. Comfort Nyam, has congratulated children in commemoration of the 2025 International Children's Day.
The Jos East First Lady made the commendation during a colorful event at the Council Secretariat, Angware, which coincided with her birthday. She expressed delight to the education subsector, parents, the federal and state governments, and the local government council for investing in children's upbringing, education, and moral development.
Mrs. Comfort appreciated God for being faithful to her over the years and seized the opportunity to celebrate another milestone in her life. She thanked her husband and children, as well as all those who celebrated with her.
The Executive Chairman of the Council, Chief Markus Usaini Nyam, congratulated the children on their special day and his wife Comfort, on her birthday. He pledged the council's commitment to expanding the scope of Children's Day celebrations in the future as part of his administration's priorities.
The representative of the children, who presented a speech, thanked the government for setting aside a day to commemorate children's resilience. She also appreciated the wife of the Chairman for organizing the event alongside her birthday celebration. She called on parents and all other leaders to improve children's welfare and security.
Other dignitaries who spoke at the event included representatives of women, youths, the Traditional Council, and the education subsector. They all congratulated the children on their special day and the wife of the Chairman on her birthday.
